Do you have any specific colors in mind? Please tell us what they are. We only work with Pantone colors. Not sure which colors you want to use for your coin? We are a practical manual that will show you which colors match plating hues.

Do you like a distinctive edge or a distinctive texture? Let us know. We can assist you if you are unclear about your alternatives. You have countless possibilities.

The coins

Size

You may find coins in practically any size you can imagine. We have produced coins in sizes ranging from 1 inch to 5 inches. Our most widely used size is two "inches. We advise making the coin larger the more detail you desire. Starting at 2.25 or anything within the size of a bottle opener.

Quantity

Uncertain about the number of coins to order? It's okay; there is no minimum requirement. But we advise buying at least 50. We advise purchasing 30% more coins than you first intended once you've chosen how much you want. Friends, relatives, and coworkers will desire one or more of your new coins after seeing them, maybe even more than they first requested.

Style

The regions of your coin that have receded are colored with soft enamel. Your coin's raised lines prevent the enamel colors from overlapping.

After your coin's finished surface has been polished, hard enamel colors are added. In other words, the coin's flat surface is covered in the colors of the enamel.

Single plating means that there is only one plating on the front and rear.

Dual plating involves coating the coin in two distinct plating colors.

Rainbow plating is exactly what it sounds like; it gives the coin a rainbow appearance.

What materials are used to make challenge coins? - The biggest fallacy is that challenge coins are made of metal. The most popular substance is zinc alloy. Challenge coins can also be found made of brass and iron, though.

Ceramic challenge coin - Since ceramic challenges are manufactured by hand, a 60 design fee is charged automatically. Unfortunately, ceramic challenge coins cannot be revised indefinitely. After the first five revisions, there is a 50 cost per revision.

The sizes of ceramic challenge coins are 39 mm (1.54 inches) in diameter and 43 mm thick. This is the typical poker chip size used in casinos.

A challenge coin made of ceramic has any restrictions? Yes! The ceramic challenge coin's center can only be altered. All ceramic challenge coins are manufactured by hand, and the picture is applied to the chip using heat.

What sets 2D and 3D apart from each other?

The number of raised or recessed regions on the surface of a coin. There are two metal planes in the 2D coin. On the surface of the coin, a raised level protrudes, and a recessed level is a little lower. On the surface of a 2D coin, there is a distinct and noticeable contrast between the two levels. The coin's recessed section receives an even coat of paint, perfectly confining the color fills. A 3D coin, on the other hand, makes the most of virtually endless levels, enabling us to slope and curve the edges between levels of raised and recessed sections on a coin. A 3D coin can have rounded edges, beveled edges, and a variety of various textures.

Factors to take into account before placing an order for 2D coins

• The fact that buying a set of 2D coins is almost always cheaper and faster is one of the main benefits. It is simpler and takes less time to construct, proof, make, and ultimately deliver a 2D coin because there are just two levels. Making the 3D cad file can take a lot of time, and the actual machining of the mold for a 3D coin can take two to four times as long.

• The high contrast between a 2D coin's raised and recessed surfaces makes it simple to color different areas of the recessed surfaces, which can be useful for incorporating brands, ranks, flag colors, or other color aspects into a design.

• Without sacrificing the visual features of the original design or picture, a 2D coin can be obtained in smaller and thinner coin sizes. If a 3D coin is smaller than 1.5", maintaining the intricacies may become challenging.

• The physical shape of a 2D coin is great for retaining a clean look without concealing detail when including a glossy or highly polished design.

• For capturing a stylized likeness of a person's face, a 2D design works better. Even while it lacks some of the intricacies of a 3D coin, this still gives us complete control over how it will appear.

Considerations to weigh while choosing whether to order 3D coins

• Due to the ability to capture and integrate the entire shape and details, creating a set of full 3D coins is frequently worth the extra effort and money for more complex designs. With just two planes of metal to work with, it is impossible to theoretically capture as many details. It also enables us to avoid the 2D coin's required minimum production requirements. Layers, forms, and other physical design aspects that are impossible to portray on the surface of a 2D coin can be found on a 3D coin.

• For accurately capturing the size, shape, and feel of the edges and surfaces of a distinctive design that doesn't fit the mold of a conventional circular coin, a 3D coin is preferable.

• Though it is more challenging, it is not impossible to include color in a 3D coin. We may fill in your design with various colors that are brought into breathtaking relief on the actual product using unique transparent paints and thoughtful design decisions.

The rounded curves and contours of 3D coins are perfect for capturing shadows and colors that look larger and more alive and for aging the coin's surface.

Utilizing the complete range of textures available in a 3D coin, images, and designs with fine elements like mountains, structures, and artwork can appear much more photorealistic.

Choosing between a 2D and 3D coin may be tough if your excellent design only comes to life on a 3D coin but you would like to add the official colors of a unit or organization. The two choices aren't mutually incompatible, though, because ordering a coin with 2D on one side and 3D on the other will let you have the best of both worlds. This tradeoff integrates the complete range of color possibilities available with 2D coins, is less expensive than ordering a coin with 3D graphics on both sides, and enables you to benefit from the depth of a 3D coin's design. Another alternative is to choose specific regions of a design, such as the edges, a distinctive logo, or another aspect, to have 3D details, but to maintain the coin's short, simple recesses, keep sections of the design within two layers.
